For almost 200 years craftsmen at Symm have been constructing and maintaining colleges and historic buildings within the world famous Oxford University. These skills and traditions are available to you to create an interior based on historically correct English design, whether you require a panelled room, an oak study or possibly a library.
We create this woodwork using traditional methods that have been in use since our company was established in 1815. These techniques provide an authentic, hand crafted finish which is essential for our historic restoration and replica work. We ensure that all detail is agreed prior to the commencement of the work to guarantee your complete satisfaction.
Our woodwork is hand finished using either natural bees' wax polish or a full 'aged' French polish prior to shipment. A supply and install or a supply only service is available, and a visit to our Oxford workshops can be arranged to see work in progress.
